In April 2018 I took my family on the MSC Magnifica cruise around Northern Europe. It was an experience I won’t forget in a hurry.  It was my fifth cruise, but for my two adult children it was their first time cruising, so I had hoped they would be able to see why I love cruising so much… that wasn’t to be the case…

What are the best attractions in the UK to see when you visit? As with any of these lists, it’s always difficult to narrow down the best, but there are a few places that shouldn’t be avoided. While a few days in London should be the priority for any trip, getting around most of the UK to take in the attractions is do-able, if not perhaps in the same trip. From Stonehenge to the National Space Centre, and including the Eden Project and the Giant’s Causeway, the following list represents some of the UK’s top 10 attractions:

Yes, I am still alive and kicking, here and well…

I was on holiday this week, I say was because I came back early, I’ll explain that in a moment. First I just wanted to apologize for the emptiness of my blog of late, I cannot and will not promise that there will be a return to daily posts as my life just does not feel like it is moving that way currently, but for now I am here and will post as/when I have something to say/share.

Our last day has come around quickly. I wake up still thinking about First Story. I has me inspired, I would love to set up a creative writing group for young people in my area. But, as usual thoughts of my own inadequacies plague me. I don’t feel I am qualified to run such a thing. My own writing is littered with typo’s, grammatical errors, passive voice and a chatty ‘telling’ rather than ‘showing’ voice. I’m not a published writer, just a blogging dreamer, what could I have to offer to inspire young people to create great writing? I don’t even think my writing is all that good!
