Golden Girls Pool Team – End of the Summer League

The end of the summer league is upon us, all that remains is the Andy Darnley Cup and Summer League Final Rounds. The group stages ended with our final match on Wednesday 8th August.

We have been nothing if not consistent throughout the season… consistently bad 😦

Our best match of the season was against Studley Cricket Club on the 1st August, where we managed to win three games! 😀 Yep, that’s right 3, it meant we had still lost 8-3 to Studley CC but we were all really pleased to have finally scored something other than 10-1 or worse 11-0 as we had for all our other games…

For my Mass Observation Spring Directive report one of the topics was the ‘Big Society‘.  I have finally gotten round to writing up my piece on the subject and as I said months ago when I started with massobs I will share my responses to the directives on my blog. This ended up being a very long response as there were a lot of questions so I will be splitting it into at least two posts, in addition I also thought it would be handy to include an excerpt that explains what the ‘Big Society’ is, as I am sure like me, many of you have heard of it but not really know what it is…
